Which battery brand do the workshops actually recommend?
I've been asking around different garages in Al Quoz and Rashidiya because I'm trying to figure out which battery brand I should go with for my BMW X5, and honestly the answers I'm getting are all over the place. One mechanic told me to stick with Varta because that's what BMW uses from the factory, another guy said Amaron is the best thing since sliced bread, and a third workshop owner insisted that ACDelco is the only brand that can handle the stop-start system properly without causing issues down the line. It's frustrating because I don't know if they're genuinely recommending what's best for my car or if they're just pushing whatever brand gives them the better wholesale price or commission. I was thinking I should probably just check out the leading car battery brands in UAE and do my own research rather than relying on what these guys are telling me, because at least then I can compare the specs and warranties myself. What I really want to know is what the actual specialists use when they're working on high-end European cars, not just the general shops that work on everything. Is there a consensus among BMW specialists about which brand causes the fewest electrical issues, or does it really come down to personal preference? I don't mind paying a premium for quality, I just want to make sure I'm not buying something that's going to give me problems six months from now. Anyone with actual workshop experience or who's been through this with their own BMW have any advice? Really appreciate any honest feedback before I make a decision.
